When Hillier abruptly left the OIL in 2017, 158th alum and Iraq and Afghanistan veteran Will Reid grabbed the guide-on and kept the AFC moving forward. Reid has settled on the team name War Eagle. It is a play on his military roots and his status as a lifelong Philadelphia Eagles fan. The logo and uniforms were designed by Michael Taylor. The logo is reminiscent of an Army guide-on, and the gray feathers in the eagle's tuft spell out LII, the Super Bowl Reid's beloved Eagles just won. The colors mimic the old kelly green and gray Eagles​ uniforms.

The commissioner has placed the orders for the championship mini-helmet and championship jerseys. Because the 'Mericans already have a helmet, their manager gave the prize to the Liberty Bowl runner-up Boomtown Brawlers. The Redlegs finished third in the Liberty Bowl. Below are the mockups for the helmet and the three conference champions' jerseys. View previous years' helmets and jerseys here. With the 2017 season in the books, it's time to start determining the draft order for 2018. As a reminder, the OIL determines draft order as follows: 

  1. This league will always reward success. Therefore, the draft order will be determined by order of finish. The league champion will have first choice as to which draft position he wants, followed by the number two team, three, four and so on until the last place team gets its choice.
  2. The purpose of this rule is so that members perform their best in the playoffs (championship or consolation rounds). Those who continue to manage their roster and win will be rewarded with a better choice of draft positions. 

​Starting now, we begin filling in the blanks of the 2018 order, beginning with Zerger, Cliburn, and Brake.
