Although Jack Bruesch served with the original ten in Baghdad in 2006, he didn't become a member of the OklahomIraqis until the following season. He didn't start off his membership well, with an 11th place finish in 2007, but he came back to win the 2008 crown from Ramadi, Iraq while on his second tour in the football-less country.
After falling back to Earth a bit in 2009 and 2010 (with 12th place finishes each season), Bruesch bounced back in 2011 to become the first manager to win two OIL Bowls. In 2008 and 2011 both, he overcame his number one draft pick being lost for the season in the first game to win the OIL Bowl. In 2015, he became the first OILer to win three championships, and did so in only nine seasons. That one-championship-every-three-seasons pace makes him the most successful manager in the OIL. He's our Bill Belichick without being a dick all the time.
