It is a good thing I check my SPAM folder. Otherwise, Andrew Seagraves's submission for his Oklahoma City Rattlers would have never made it to okiraqi.org. Mr. Seagraves found our contest on Uni-Watch.com, so thanks again to that site. They've referred over 10,000 unique visitors to our site. We appreciate it. Our original post asking for logo submissions is: NFL in OKC? Here is what Seagraves had to say about his design:"Dear fellas,
I saw your link at uni-watch.com and decided to do an NFL in OKC uni a go. I know there is the Rattlesnake roundup in Oklahoma and wanted to do something along those lines. The colors are Chrome Yellow (you can find the hex code at encycolorpedia.com), Midnight Russet and White. I decided to use a "dark gold brown" for the dark color to closely resemble the color patters on the back of diamondbacks, timber rattlers and a few other breeds of rattlesnake. I thought about using old gold or vegas gold for the helmet, yet I thought that would look a lot like New Orleans. I decided to try UCLA Gold, then found Chrome Yellow and settled on that. After I had started the uniform, I realized the uniform looked like the Gadsen Flag. I have included a Home, Away, and Alt uniform with Wordmark and helmet decal. I used some photos as inspiration for the rattlesnakes and if you're patient enough, you can use paint.net to trace the photos and combine your lines to make a drawing! HA!! The fonts used are Railroader for the numbers, Millenium 3 for the OKC, Iron Man of War Non-commercial 2 for the name on the back and Garuda STD for the Rattlers.

Blake Campbell of Friday Night Design was the first to submit a Roughnecks design. It was very popular and the commissioner was a fan. But the clay color he used could be mistaken for something a little too close to Longhorn burnt orange.
So, Mr. Campbell came back with a slightly different shade of clay that is closer to Oklahoma's red dirt than burnt orange:
