COOP Ale Works to Sponsor 2018 OIL Draft

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City brewery COOP Ale Works has graciously agreed to donate eight cases of their fantastic, Oklahoma-brewed beer for use at the 2018 OIL draft weekend.

    What's your favorite Coop beer?

COOP has been brewing unique Oklahoma beers since 2009. Their brewery and tap room is in the southwest portion of Oklahoma City, near the airport. But they've recently announced plans to renovate the historic Oklahoma National Guard armory on NE 23rd Street, turning it into a brewery, tap room, restaurant, and boutique hotel. That plan holds a special place in the OIL's heart, as the league is comprised of current and former Oklahoma Army National Guard soldiers.

The men of the OIL appreciate the donation and encourage all beer drinkers to drink local and try COOP.

    Commissioner's Corner by Yahoo! Fantasy

    the-oil-blog
    Picture
Yahoo! Fantasy recently hosted a multi-part series on commissioner issues written by OIL commissioner Justin C. Cliburn.

    Part 1: Plant Your Flag

Learn why it's important to find the right name and logo for your league.

Part 2: Keep the Peace Through Bylaws

Fix problems before they start and ensure the long-term stability of the league.

Part 3: Build a Culture Through Franchises

Build a culture by transforming teams into franchises using permanent team names, logos, and uniforms.

Part 4: Motivate Your League Through Prizes

Award your champions the only thing better than money: a trophy with their name engraved on it . . . or a custom team jersey and mini-helmet.

Part 5: Embrace the Hate with Rivalry Week

Give everyone something to look forward to in the final week of the regular season: the opportunity to best their arch rival.

Part 6: Engage the League Year-Round by Making the Draft Order an Event

The saddest way to determine draft order is by random choice. Don't be sad. Use one of these ideas instead.

Part 7: Set the Tone with an Amazing Draft Day

Draft Day is your league's Daytona 500. Start the season off right with a day to remember.

Part 8: Captivate Your League with In-Season Coverage

Your job is to cover your league as if it’s the most important league in the world . . . because it is.

Part 9: Keep the Lines of Communication Open

Keep your league talking through group email, texts, chats, blogs, Twitter feeds and more.

Part 10: Determine the GOAT by Tracking Your League History

Track every win, every point, every head-to-head matchup with our league history spreadsheet.

Part 11: Keep the League Alive by Telling Your Story

Remember that your league is more than a collection of individual relationships. It's a collective friendship and its story deserves to be told.
