    OklahomIraqi Joseph Killman Deceased

    SPC Killman served in Baghdad in 2006 with the rest of the OklahomIraqis. He was in the same squad as OIL members Bruesch and Cliburn. He was funny, tough, and reliable. He died of a gunshot wound originally suffered at his home on Dec. 23.

    His funeral is on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha. Tragically, he was just married in November.

    His family is taking donations to help pay for his funeral expenses. You can donate at the funeral or by mailing a donation to the funeral home:

    Joseph Carl “Jody” Killman

    Funeral services for Joseph Carl “Jody” Killman, of Chickasha, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at the Bible Baptist Church.
    Joseph Carl “Jody” Killman was born Dec. 22, 1984 in Chickasha,  to Floyd Franklin and Reba (Boswell) Killman.  He passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 29.
    Jody lived in the Chickasha area his entire life and graduated from Chickasha Highs School.  He served in the Oklahoma National Guard and had been deployed for a tour of active service before being discharged in 2006.  
    He married Tanya Harrison on Nov. 24, 2013.  He was employed with Brumley Welding.
    He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Killman on Feb. 10, 2011.
    Jody is survived by his wife, Tanya Killman; his mother, Reba Killman and two sisters:  Frankie Killman and Amanda Adamson
    Interment will be in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

      • The Dogs of War pulled off a 151.45 - 139.00 upset over the Arrogant Americans behind Peyton Manning, whose 44.00 points were the highest score this week. The projected spread for the matchup had been 24.31 points. The Dogs of War had been coming up strong regularly after winning their last four matchups in a row. This is a repeat performance for The Dogs of War over the Arrogant Americans, after a 203.75 - 203.25 nailbiter in Week 4. The Arrogant Americans concluded the regular season in fifth place with a record of 7-6. But they were better than their record indicated: they ranked first in the league in points per game with 159.66. They played two playoff games before the OIL Bowl.     It's Officially Official: The Dogs of War are the 2013 Champions.

    Aaron Cobb is officially an OklahomIraqis champion, joining Kevin Pyle, Lyndal Morgan, Jack Bruesch, Josh Hastings, and Justin Cliburn in the elite club. It took him seven years to do it, but he succeeded in his first OIL Bowl appearance. Here is the final tally:

    The Arrogant Americans have no excuses. No one on the bench would have made a difference. No waiver wire QB would have done better than Brady. Kudos to Cobb for winning the championship while starting Mendenhall, Reece, and Powell.

    A New Champion is Crowned

    Congratulations to Aaron Cobb. His Dogs of War defeated the defending the 2012 champions in the OIL Bowl. This is Cobb's first OIL championship. 

    He overcame injuries to, among others, Arian Foster, Jermichael Finley, and Wes Welker on his way to the championship. 

    The Dogs of War finished the regular season with the third-highest point total in the league. They finished the season 10-6. He'll soon receive the Harrington Trophy in the mail, just in time for Christmas. 

    The Arrogant Americans finished 9-7 after going into the playoffs with the most points in the league. They've now been to four OIL Bowls and won two of them.

    The Dogs of War overcame a first half injury to Steve Smith to win the OIL Bowl. His RB trio of Reshard Mendenhall, Marcel Reece, and Bilal Powell each outscored the number one overall pick, Adrian Peterson. 

    Peyton Manning outscored Tom Brady by 30 points and Steven Hauschka had his worst game of the season for the Arrogant Americans. 

    The Dogs of War will now represent the OIL in World War IV against the winners of the MGL and the Norse.
