Chris Trovillo came to Oklahoma via the Army and somehow found his way into Cliburn's house for a party in spring 2007. By the fall, they had become friends and Trovillo was asked to become a member of the OIL fraternity of fantasy football. He chose the team name Dirty Hippies, a curious choice for a clean-cut private in the U.S. Army. Upon joining the league, Trovillo jumped on the scene and finished the regular season as the number two seed but was upset in the second round by the eventual champion Whackers.
Trovillo then finished in seventh place in two consecutive seasons, but he remained undeterred. After preparing for the 2009 season by working his first mock drafts, he maintained that he was more ready than ever to seek his first championship in 2010. He finished second to last before actually finishing in last place in 2011. He redeemed himself in 2012, by making the playoffs and finishing fifth but then missed the playoffs again in 2013. In 2014, Trovillo was dominant throughout the season en route to his first OIL Bowl championship, where he beat Finch's Hard Targets.
Trovillo is the one who originally found the site-building platform that this website still uses. He's been an integral part of the OIL behind the scenes.
